Withering Tableware Beakers

Thomas Eyck's delicate Withering Tableware beakers are painted so that each has its own unique look. The simple, unassuming design is perfect for every day use, and can double as tiny vases for little bouquets gathered from your yard.

Thomas Eyck is known for his incredibly selective partnerships and the resulting exquisite items, and the Withering Tableware beakers are no exception. The glasses-- the outcome of a collaboration between Eyck and Studio Maarten Kolk & Guus Kusters-- are inspired by the way flowers slowly fade. Rather than painting the ceramic directly, the mold is painted so that the glaze washes away with each cast, paralleling the way a flower wilts in nature. We love poetic beauty of the glasses, which honor a less cherished-- but no less important-- aspect of nature
